Valencia CF and PUMA donate kit packs to healthcare workers
Healthcare workers in Spain have worked tirelessly to control the COVID-19 pandemic, and the country is now in a ‘New Normality’ as a result of their efforts. To thank them, Valencia CF and Official Kit Sponsor PUMA have donated hundreds of gift packs to the IMED Hospitales, La Fe and Casa Ronald McDonald Valencia facilities.
Club ambassadors Ricardo Arias and Miguel Ángel Bossio attended the different centres to hand over the PUMA packs in person. Each set includes an official Valencia CF shirt, hat and gym bag, and the packages were later distributed amongst those who have suffered most during the pandemic: Personnel and patients.
Arias told VCF Media that “These types of actions fill you with satisfaction. It’s a way of thanking all of the immense work that is being undertaken. Valencia CF, along with PUMA, have to be pioneers in these types of initiatives.”
“We should thank the workers’ efforts that they continue to make. It’s of vital importance that we are grateful,” added Miguel Ángel Bossio.
Amongst the recipients of the PUMA donations, besides healthcare workers at the IMED Hospitales, are a group of patients in the Mental Health Clinic at the La Fe facility, who have a football team as part of their therapy.
Likewise those families who spent the lockdown in Casa Ronald McDonald, with their children in hospital, also had gift packs sent their way.
